2, Joby Gorillapod

Job make great lightweight professional tripods and the GorillaPod range is probably the best we have seen. They are flexible enough to wrap around a small tree, compact, strong (will hold up to 3kg) and available in sizes to fit small point & shoot cameras up to professional DSLRs.
We love them for their versatility and strength but most importantly their light weight.

3, Kendal Mint Cake

Kendal Mint Cake is the most famous mountain food you’ve never heard of. It hails from the town of Kendal in the Lake District, England and has been a favourite on mountain snack for generations of British expeditionaries, mountaineers and climbers. It has helped some of the most famous explorers in history achieve their goals, such as Sir Edmund Hillary on the first successful ascent of Mount Everest in 1953 and is a standard part of the 24-hour ration pack issued to the Irish Defence Forces. It’s also a standard part of my ration pack when I go…well…anywhere.
